We are proud of our Austin City Dental staff. Below is more about each member of our team.

  • Cathy Young - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Cathy Young - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Cathy has been a practicing dental hygienist for 31 years. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and her hometown is Port Huron, Michigan. She has lived in the Lake Travis area since 1992 and has worked for this practice for 19 years. Cathy is married and has two daughters, Kristin and Carlee. She enjoys playing tennis and is active in two USTA tennis leagues. Her interests are all sports, bird watching, and boating on Lake Travis.

  • Sandy Gray - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Sandy Gray - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Raised in Wichita Falls, Sandy graduated from Caruth School of Dental Hygiene-Baylor Dental School in 1966. She worked in Perio and pediatric dentistry before moving to Austin in 1968, when she began working for this practice. Married to John H. Gray, Jr. she has three daughters and four grandchildren. Sandy loves to eat, movies, travel, and spending time with her granddarlings. She plans to work until she can’t, loves dentistry, and dental hygiene.

  • Kristi Hughes - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Kristi Hughes - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Kristi is a country girl at heart, but has been in Austin since 1995. She joined the team of Austin City Dental in October 2007 and has been a hygienist tor 18 years. Outside of the office, she enjoys a wide range of activities including riding horses, participating in triathlons, and snow skiing.

  • Pinky Strassner - Registered Dental Assistant

    Pinky Strassner - Registered Dental Assistant

    Pinky was born in American Samoa. She lived in California for 20 years, and has made Austin her home since 1996. Pinky has been a dental assistant since 1985. She is married and has two daughters: Leilani and Tiera. In her spare time she enjoys boxing and hiking.

  • Jennifer Brockman - Registered Dental Assistant

    Jennifer Brockman - Registered Dental Assistant

    Jennifer was born and raised in Indiana and relocated to Austin in 2010. Jennifer has been a dental assistant for eight years. She feels most rewarded by helping patients obtain their overall dental health. Jennifer is having fun getting to know Austin.

  • Jerry Mumme - Financial Coordinator

    Jerry Mumme - Financial Coordinator

    Jerry was born and raised in San Antonio. She moved to Austin with her husband and two children in the early 70's and has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. Getting to know the patient and assisting with their insurance filing and financial arrangements continues to be a rewarding experience. Every summer she looks forward to a week-long Frio River "playcation" with her family, which includes her two children, their spouses, and her six grandchildren.

  • Lindy Cooper - Hygiene Coordinator

    Lindy Cooper - Hygiene Coordinator

    Lindy was born in Freeport, Texas and has lived in Austin since the early 80's. She is a proud mother of two children: Payton and Parker, and a wonderful stepdaughter Caroline. She enjoys spending time with her family, weekends on the lake, and working out. Lindy started with the practice in 2007, and looks forward to coming to work each day. She loves the rapport with patients, and letting them know their dental health and overall well being are the primary concern of the entire staff.

  • Penny Terrell - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Penny Terrell - Registered Dental Hygienist

    Penny recently retired after serving as a hygienist for 40 years. A University of Texas graduate, Penny is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren. Penny enjoys sewing, upholstery, and cooking.
