I’m sure everyone is aware of Governor Abbott’s recent decision to lift the statewide mask mandate starting next week. Many patients have been asking us if we will continue with our mask policy, as it currently exists. We will continue to require that anyone who enters our office wears a mask, until further notice. We will have patients remove their mask when treatment begins and then replace their mask when treatment has ended before they checkout at the front desk.

We are thrilled to have received our second vaccine dose last weekend, but we do not feel that it is time to stop common sense measures, such as mask wearing, when in public places. The CDC does not recommend the discontinuation of mask wearing either and we will let science be our guide as to when we may lift some of these protocols.

We continue to use UVC lights after procedures and run our air filtration units 24/7 to ensure that when you are here you are in a safe environment. If anyone does experience any COVID symptoms or tests positive within two days of being at our office we ask that you contact us immediately.

Let’s all work together to beat this virus and mitigate the spread of this virus to the most vulnerable in our communities. I encourage you to continue wearing masks when in public, in spite of the governor’s decision. It was encouraging to see Texans come together and help each other out during the recent snowpocalypse. Let’s continue to go the extra mile for our neighbors and help keep everyone safe until we reach herd immunity. Hang in there!
